He has a distinguished academic background, with qualifications including a Bachelor of Business (Property) (With Distinction); and a Master of Building (Melbourne University – Deans Honours). His award-winning Master's thesis was published world wide, and is cited on a regular basis. He is also a qualified valuer.
Tony has extensive senior management experience in public sector property management, and his expertise saw him appointed as CEO of the Mt Buller & Mt Stirling Alpine Resort Management Board in 2009-10. His professional skills are enhanced by his "hands on" experience in a broad range of disciplines including agriculture, earthmoving, quarrying and road building, resulting in a unique blend of academic and professional know-how combined with a pragmatic no-nonsense approach.
Tony has taken his academic and practical skills and applied them to policy and contract development, analysis, and negotiations, with positive benefits resulting. He has proven himself in the professional field with extensive experience in property valuations (all aspects including agricultural, residential, commercial, industrial, statutory and insurance), development, acquisition and disposal, property management, Crown land leasing and licensing, town planning, and bodies corporate / Owners Corporations.
